The toboggan run on the Wildkogel is 14 kilometres long and descends approximately 1,300 metres. It starts at the mountain station of the Smaragdbahn at 2,100 metres above sea level and ends at the valley station in Bramberg. It has been awarded the International Toboggan Run Quality Seal in Double Gold.

How do you get from the hotel to the toboggan run?

The valley station of the Smaragdbahn in Bramberg, where your tobogganing adventure begins and ends, is about one kilometre from the hotel. It takes around 10 minutes to walk there. During the day, the free ski bus stops at the “Smaragdhotel Tauernblick” bus stop and takes you to the Smaragdbahn in about four minutes. The Smaragdbahn then takes you up to the start of the run at 2,100 metres above sea level. The ski bus operates during the day only. The last buses leave the Smaragdbahn at around 5 pm. After night tobogganing, you can walk the one kilometre back to the hotel or take a taxi.

On Fridays, the lift runs until 6:30 pm when weather conditions are suitable. A ski pass covers uphill rides until 4:15 pm. For the late Friday ride, you need a day pass for tobogganing.

Where can I stop for food and drinks along the Wildkogel toboggan run?

There are several mountain restaurants and huts along the route where you can stop for food and drinks, even in the evening. That is why the run remains illuminated until 10 pm, even though the last uphill ride is at 4:15 pm. Warm up with a hot chocolate at one of the huts, then enjoy a ride down into the valley under the lantern light.
