SALZBURG BAUERNHERBST HARVEST FESTIVAL
Cows decorated with bells and ribbons, harvest festivals with colourful stands and regional culinary specialities, craft markets and parades with brightly decorated horse-drawn carriages are a feast for the eyes, ears and palate. There is a wide range of activities for children too, from inflatable castles to arts and crafts to face painting.
The 25th anniversary of Salzburg’s Harvest Festival opens in a traditional, original and colorful way on Sunday, August 16, 2020.
Every year one of the more than 70 farmers ‘autumn locations across the country opens the Salzburg farmers’ autumn with a large traditional festival. The 25th anniversary of the Harvest Festival will begin this year with a grand opening in Tamsweg in Salzburg’s Lungau.
